不完全阅读之张爱玲
从一本短篇小说集开始阅读张爱玲，始终也没有太喜欢。主要是在我喜欢上她之前就发现了其大红──而我又偏有反骨，恶读旁人之皆读。── 这样的书，一读便会平添许多闲气，譬如偶然读过《小团圆》。喜欢她的人往往会学得一脸透彻，殊不知这种透彻倒会让我想到亦舒信徒；不喜欢的人则不惮于溯自早年去寻找其“性格缺陷“。其实所谓“性格缺陷”，无非是说一个女人喜欢上了胡兰成这样的男人偏还没能终老只好在美国苦渡余生，我倒不明白这有什么“缺陷”好找。君不见某些“清明聪慧的女子”，算尽机关“经营”来“经营”去，也不过赔了夫人又折兵。

《秧歌》和《赤地之恋》两本书，都是张爱玲1954年在香港所作。《秧歌》（Gdoc有全文，嗯。）一书专写土改，《赤地之恋》则从土改写到三反五反，再写到抗美援朝。前者简练干净，胡适评之为专写“饿“一字；后者则写到其擅长的儿女情事，加之框架复杂，── 所以以下主要写《秧歌》，间及《赤地之恋》。
1946年5月，中共中央发出《关于土地问题的指示》（即五四指示），将抗日战争时期的减租减息运动转变为实行“耕者有其田”政策。实际上此前，东北已经开始了对敌伪人员土地占有的清算。当年7月，东北局在哈尔滨召开扩大会议，讨论并通过了陈云起草的《关于东北形势与任务决议》，决定发动农民群众进行土改。
关于1946-1947年的东北土改，有周立波的《暴风骤雨》。其中大部分内容实际都是在写“阶级”── 阶级的觉醒，阶级的发动，其中同时而来的还有各种新颖的词汇：“剥削”，“斗争”。
── 一位参加了山西土改的美国的杜威主义者曾经写到村妇们认为一个女人使唤其“相好的“帮她做事就算是“剥削”，这样的事大约并不罕见。现在的研究者多以为阶级情感尚需“发动”，也是值得怀疑的。不过我倒是认为这把各种感情都看作“自然“，也未必近真。如果“恋爱”都要谈，阶级情又怎么会自然而然的发生呢？总之都是建构罢 ── 但《暴风骤雨》一书所写到的残酷的阶级斗争，却已经令人心惊了。
2007年是《中国土地法大纲》颁布六十周年，央视”电影传奇”中曾经播出了“风雨元宝屯”（《暴风骤雨》的原型村庄）；另外还有一部名为“暴风骤雨”的纪录片（未公映），做了大量元宝屯老村民的口述，讲述的则是现在我们基本接受的另一种土改：流氓无产者，并不太坏与并不太富的地主，暴力，斗争。
实际上1947年东北土改中的“左倾”很快引起了中共中央的注意。此后华北地区的土改中，小地主的过关则相对容易（根据课堂某同学的口述）。但阶级情绪一旦发动，控制并不那么容易。尤其到了1950年，受到韩战，镇反等因素的影响，中共中央的土改方针又开始强调“放手“。杨奎松老师曾有专文论及土改，可参见。
张爱玲在《秧歌》中，巧妙的写到了两个非乡村人士的进入。一个是在上海做帮佣的月香，因为上海人也羡慕其家里分到了田地而决定辞工回家。一个是上海文联下派的电影编导顾冈，来农村体验生活搜集素材。── 张爱玲在1950年7月曾参加上海第一届文学艺术界代表大会，所以对于当时中国文艺界的那一套话语也基本熟悉。最后，顾冈饥饿到只能到镇上去买来吃食偷偷充饥，而将农村抢粮的风潮作为反对国民党的斗争加入到了其电影剧本中；月香则一直挣扎于饥饿的生活中，因为丈夫卷入了抢粮风潮而家破人亡。
《秧歌》所写是一个非常基本的思考：土改到底给农民带来了什么。如胡适所说，全书写的就是一个“饥饿”。不见繁华，平淡到令人悚然。《金锁记》中的张爱玲已经足够深刻（字面意思），《秧歌》则更见老辣。但另一个问题则是，张爱玲所接触到的“土改”到底是什么？
《赤地之恋》讲述的一个北京的知识青年所经历的土改，三反五反和抗美援朝，其中的情节转换不乏戏剧性，但好歹也覆盖了当时的大事 ── 终究是有些勉强，而且张爱玲如此关心“国家“也是罕见。知识青年去了一个没有地主的村庄，土改中只好把富农拿来斗争；── 富农问题，据前面杨奎松老师的文章，基本上来自于苏联的经验和理论。── 然而其中提到的具体细节，却有点骇人听闻的感觉。
华东地区的土改情况复杂，近年有专门的学位论文论及。张爱玲当时在上海既然有参加会议，应该也有所耳闻。《赤地之恋》中写到两个上海妇女肆无忌惮的品评时事，令来到上海的知识青年闻之心惊；其中虽然不乏“阿拉上海人“的自傲，应该未必没有经验的底子。最后，《秧歌》和《赤地之恋》写成于香港，传言出自美国驻港总领事馆新闻处（美新处）授意。对此，美新处人员表示“不是实情”。小说家言，自然并非实录。但小说家也是有着信息来源的。美新处也好，新华社也好，上海街头的口耳相传也好，东北农村的诉苦大会也好，都在同样的塑造着时人关于土改的印象。
顺便再说一句，在对当时美新社人士的采访中，他说，“这部小说（《赤地之恋》）具有高度创意”。基本上，我也同意他认为这本书不及《秧歌》。不管怎么样，写出这样的句子：“战俘们站在全世界注目的场所，侮辱了他们的仇敌，初次表现了中国人民真正的意志”；我都觉得实在太失水准了。
最后，关于遣返战俘的问题，描写抗美援朝的著名（主要是我很早就读过～）《黑雪》、《汉江血》、《黑雨》三部曲中所记，跟《赤地之恋》中的记述刚好相反。郭嘉到底是不是劝曹操杀掉刘备呢？这个，《三国志》中就有两说。
